Prenatal Class At Home Courses
After looking at birth trends in the Columbia area, we realized that there are a lot of high risk pregnancies out there. The obstetricians confirmed this for us; and also told us many of the moms can't attend traditional prenatal classes. Many mothers themselves over the years have called to find out what their resources were when they had to be on bedrest. This got us thinking; and led to the Prenatal Class At Home courses. Ironically, we have large volume of professional women with heavy work schedules checking out these courses as well!
Prenatal Class At Home is a self paced education system designed for families to help prepare for this new baby. Each courses had video's, DVD's, a book, handouts specific to the mom's pregnancy and other related materials. Simply follow the step by step instructions, reviewing as needed. The courses are "checked out" for a specific number days, then turned in with mom keeping the book and handouts. Telephone follow up with a Lamaze certified childbirth educator is offered to answer specific questions mom or dad may have.
Preparing For Childbirth (SKU#PHCB)
This system consists of the same content found in a typical hospital-based class. You will learn about the stages of labor and delivery, breathing and relaxation techniques, cesarean delivery and other variations on labor, and postpartum recovery. In addition, there is a lot of information about comfort measures for you and your partner. You will have five days to review the materials.
Preparing for Cesarean Birth (SKU# PCB)
Many people take labor preparation classes, but until now, resources for cesarean birth education have been limited. All The Best is pleased to offer our newest course, Cesarean Prep to allow you the option of evidenced-based prenatal education about your birth and recovery process. Like all of our prenatal classes, this course was created with input from physicians and families; and has been adapted top me the needs of mothers on bedrest, or who can't otherwise attend a traditional class.
Preparing For Breastfeeding (SKU#PHBF)
The information in this system is based on our "Breastfeeding For Families" class. You will learn the benefits of breastmilk, frequency and duration of feedings, what to expect in the first month, how to know the baby is getting enough, latch and positioning, milk expression and storage. You will have three days to review these materials.
Preparing For Newborn Care (SKU#PHNC)
Basic baby care is covered in this system along with infant growth and development. Common issues in parenting also included are infant sleep cycles, colic and crying, growth spurts, and illness. You will have three days to review these materials.
